Many of us are passionate about travel writing and want to see our writing published - but it isn't easy to get started as a travel writer.
That's where the travel writing workshop steps in. The workshop takes place in central London and offers invaluable advice and assistance for getting underway and developing your writing. This site contains comprehensive information about the workshop, but first of all let me give you the background.
Nowadays I'm a contributor to lots of national newspapers and magazines. Yet the start of my own travel writing was a lengthy process of trial and error, because I had no sources of assistance or encouragement. That's why, when I was established, I started to give others the benefit of my accumulated knowledge and experience.
My approach is one day of face-to-face sessions coupled with unlimited amounts of subsequent feedback - other travel writing courses do not offer this back-up (in fairness, it's not a normal feature of any kind of short course). The combination has proved to be very effective. I have been running my travel writing workshops in London for more than ten years now. They have been extremely popular and many participants have seen their travel writing published.
The dates of the next two workshops are listed on the accompanying pages. If you have any queries or wish to receive information on future travel writing workshops and other updates do please use the site's contact information to email me.
I hope I can look forward to seeing you at a travel writing workshop soon.
With best wishes
