The Essential School of Painting is a multi-faceted school that provides everything from art courses, personal private lessons, corporate art events to commissioning of artists.
Established in 2004 The Essential School of Painting (The ESOP) specialises in drawing and painting classes for all levels of experience from beginners to professionals. With a winning formula for excellence and well-known professional artists teaching small classes with good quality materials. Our tutors have been described one of the best drawing and painting faculties in Britain; the equivalent of having a premier league coaches accessible to all.
Our classes are deliberately small in size so that the right level of attention is paid to each student. Today most art schools offer very little in the way of technical guidance and intellectual support for the pursuit of Drawing and Painting. We aim to provide both. Simply put our intention is to provide you with opportunities to develop your skills, foster your creativity and encourage you to try out new things with the guidance of expert tutors.
Our Studios, located in Bethnal Green, are well-lit and spacious and we provide you with all the materials you would require for the class. We remain available and encourage participatory interaction with our students after the course ends.
