Have you ever said “I wish I could make one of those”, “How do I do that” or “I can’t even sew a button on”? Well, now is your chance to give your needlework skills a kick start!
Being able to make clothes for yourself or your family and friends, alter something store bought to give a perfect fit or to produce soft furnishings for your home is easier than you may think, and this is the place to start. We have classes tailored to suit different needs, delivered in a relaxed and comfortable environment by qualified tutors who are passionate about their subject. There are courses available for beginners in sewing, knitting and crocheting.
All courses are non-accredited with ongoing assessment and class sizes are kept small to ensure individual support. Some outlay will be required on most courses but neither the centre nor the tutor will be profiting from this and it is up to the individual how much or how little they spend.
Unless otherwise stated, in most cases all you will need for the first class is a pen and notepad. Instructions will be clearly given at the first class for the rest of the course. Refreshments are provided at all classes. A small number of sewing machines are available to hire for the duration of the course.
