Individuals achieving this qualification will be able to progress to the HABC Level 2 Certificate in Providing Security Services (QCF) which provides the competency component of the apprenticeships in Providing Security Services. It can also lead to further learning in other areas such as the HABC Level 2 Award for working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry (QCF) and the HABC Level 2 Award for Working as a Security Officer within the Private Security Industry (QCF).
The Door Supervisor qualification has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). It is based on the relevant SIA Specifications for Learning and Qualifications and provides the learner with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA licence and work as a door supervisor within the private security industry.
In March 2012 the SIA announced the intention to require existing door supervisors who had achieved the pre-QCF Door Supervision qualification (for example the National Certificate for Door Supervision) to undertake additional training in order to renew their licence..
This accredited qualification provides theoretical and practical training in First Aid techniques that are specific to infants aged 0 to 1, and children aged from 1 year old to the onset of puberty.
