South Downs Quilt Workshops are delivered primarily in Storrington, West Sussex. In the shadow of the downs, Ann Till has a passion for quilting and constantly stretching her imagination to spread the word to those wishing to take up this wonderful activity.
Ann made her first quilt in 1969 but since the turn of the century she has expanded her skills and now delivers courses as well as showing some of her quilts at the Quilt Championships at Sandown. She loves both traditional and modern quilting and encourages her students to dip into both sorts of blocks and quilting.

Beginner patchwork and quilting 24 hour class meeting on a Tuesday in the Autumn Term and on Mondays in the Winter Term. You will learn the basic core techniques that are fundamental of patchwork by making a Sampler Quilt.
This is a popular class - buy yourself either a jelly roll or charm pack and make yourself a super small quilt and begin to understand the basics of quilting. Fun and fast - a Jelly Roll is a roll of about 40 strips of fabric - 21/2" wide by 42" or so.
This course is at a second level Beginner for Patchwork and Quilting. It takes students to a more secure level in piecing and techniques, making you a proper quilter.
New sewing machine? Just don't know what your sewing machine can do? Join this class and get yourself covfortable and efficient on your sewing machine. Tension, threads, thread cutter, stitches, needles, applique, sew a circle, and so many other bits and pieces.
Meeting usually the second Saturday of each month starting 8th October 2016, these 4 hour sessions take you to the next level of quilting by learning challenging techniques taking you to a more challenging level: Machine applique, Celtic knot, Dresden Plate, Sashiko, Barghello squares will start you off making a Sampler quilt to show off your talents.
