This course is designed to suite those persons who might, during their working day, come into contact with those hazardous aspects of the construction industry that kill, injure, or damage the health of construction workers. The course material covers the “High 5” (HSE’s five main areas of concern), as well as other hazardous aspects of the industry.
Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) - 2 Day Course This CITB course is part of the Construction Skills “Site Safety Plus” suite of courses, and is aimed at those operatives who may be required to carry out a supervisory role but not necessarily have overall control of the work activity. Delegates will be provided with approximately 15 hours tuition.
The Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is a high quality training course for the construction industry. Aimed at site managers, agents and supervisors, the Scheme gives a thorough understanding of the key health and safety issues on site.
Overview : This is a busy course, based upon the assumption that delegates will have retained some knowledge from having already successfully completed the full 5 – day SMSTS course at some time within the previous 5 years. The course consists of 2 full days of tuition, some of which will be tutor led, but a great deal of which will be “learner centred” (ie the delegates will learn by carrying out a variety of workshops with tutor assistance).
