The Award in Education and Training is a week long, online course for those new to teaching and training. There are three units to be completed: Understanding roles, responsibilites and relationships This unit looks at the different roles in the teaching cycle and how they interact together.
The Diploma in Education and Training (DET) is for those wanting an accredited qualification. On completion of the DET you can apply for QTLS, which is equivalent to QTS.
The Assessor Award consists of three units. Unit 1 Understanding the principles and practices of assessment Unit 2 Assess occupational competence in the work environment Unit 3 Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding You can choose to take either two or three units.
The Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment consists of three units. Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment.
The Award in Management and Leadership is a level 5 self paced, online course. There is one unit to complete, you will need to complete the assignments and take part in the asynchronous discussion forms.
The Certificate in Education and Training (CET) is for those wanting an accredited teaching qualification and work from pre-prepared materials or are not involved in the full teaching cycle. During the CET, you will need to have access to 30 hours of teaching and have 3 of these observed.
There are four units, each worth 3 credits and all four units must completed to achieve the qualification.
Aims of Programme This programme is to enhance your research skills and may be for understanding and developing skills needed for higher education courses, or for refreshing skills required in the workplace. It aims to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to undertake graduate level research and provides the experience of planning and completing an original research project.
The Diploma in Management and Leadership is a self paced, online level 5 course. The assessments are assignment based.
There are three units, each worth 6 credits.
