MANGO LAB

Fun bite-sized learning at The Mango Lab

“I’ve learnt more in 4 weeks than in 4 years!”
“Inspirational!”

Our students frequently comment on how much they have learned in such a short time with us, in comparison to courses elsewhere with longer courses and less learnt in larger groups.
The Mango Lab offers fun, practical and personalised tuition within small groups and individual settings. Refreshments during playful classes keep energy levels up and everyone engaged. Equipping people with new skills, opening students’ eyes and building their confidence is what we love to do do. And it works!
“You have taught me how to see things I never knew existed!"

Moving with speed from one venue to another you must capture the atmosphere as we race by, with headphones in and music with a fast beat you will have your senses bombarded! We’re not quite putting on skydiving for you, but let’s say we’re aiming to give you that similar rush. Join us for a week of speed, and get to: change settings very fast focus accurately whilst on the run compose creatively whilst hanging upside down (almost) hone your anticipation of a shot with little time to think! Teens Photography | Portraiture and People Photography for Teens

And I was quite nervous to start with but then really got in to it and didn’t want to stop!” This time round we’re adding “People” as capturing character isn’t only about the face. Using each other as models Teens get to experience being both sides of the camera, which is important for: understanding what to ask for how to slightly change your pose to help the photographer experiencing what it feels like to be asked to move, and knowing how to ask! You will also get to use studio equipment such as reflectors to bounce light into your shot, backdrops and a simple lighting set-up.
