Katherine Elizabeth is a London based, multi-award winning milliner, whose achievements include the Walpole Crafted Scheme, Lff Profile Awards, and the Dzina Fashion Awards. Last race season saw the debut of Katherine as a guest presenter on the BBC’s Royal Ascot screening, and a special exhibition of her work ran at Coutts Bank and Somerset House during London's last Fashion Week.
Past commissions include work for John Galliano, House of Dior via Stephen Jones, JasperGarvida and Asudari shows at Paris Fashion Week. Clients include Dita Von Teese, Lily Allen, The Noisettes, stage, film and new Downton Abbey release.

In this class, you will learn how to create a beautiful fascinator using Sinamay Bases pre Made, we will teach you how to cover in fabric, Cut and Curl feathers into interesting shapes, use Netting, Ribbons, Flowers, beads etc. We also show you how to use sinamay to make curls, leaves, bows and flowers.
In the class you can learn and expand your millinery knowledge by learning how to block a bespoke headpiece on wooden Millinery blocks. You will then cut, wire and edge the headpiece using age old Millinery techniques.

I have successfully run an Award Winning Millinery business over the last 10 years and I will pass on lots of tips and tricks to younon how to set up and run your millinery business. This Course will be an overview of the following topics, you will also meet like minded business owners/milliners and discuss business issues, work through topics below, and put ideas learnt into your own business.
On the day you will look at mood boards and predictions for Winter 2016/17 as well as explore trends, fabrics, shapes and textures. You will look at modern fabrics such as plastics, metal, wood, crin to see how you can use them in your hats, you will then be able to block a headpiece, wire, edge and trim it using these modern fabrics.
