CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme - SSSTS This course is aimed at people who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities. This qualification gives supervisors an understanding of health, safety, welfare, environmental and legal issues.
The IOSH Working Safely course offers health and safety basics that are designed for employees at any level in any sector, the course meets the Government’s guidelines for introductory health and safety training. This course will not turn your staff into safety experts but it will focus their minds to the important health and safety issues found in your workplace, it will also show them the part that they play in keeping themselves and others safe at work.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) This course is aimed at site managers, agents and people who already are, or are about to become, responsible for planning, organising, controlling, monitoring and administering groups of workers on construction sites The course will cover all of the relevant legislation and other issues that affect safe working in the construction, building and civil engineering industries. It emphasises the importance of risk assessments in the workplace and highlights the need for suitable control measures and effective communication to help maintain safety standards among the workforce.
Emergency First Aid at Work We are able to offer Regulated Qualifications (QCF) Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work course to meet your organisations individual first aid requirements. The course is designed to ensure that your employees are able to deal with emergencies until such time that the emergency service has arrived.
First Aid at Work Level 3 Course content includes: The role of the first aider Contents of first aid kits (avoiding cross infection) Recording of incidents and accidents Assessing the situation in an emergency Administer first aid to a casulty who: Is unconscious Requires cardiopulmonary resuscitation Is choking Is wounded or bleeding Is in shock Has minor conditions to incude: minor cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds and small splinters Administer first aid to a casulty with: Injuries to bones, muscles, joints including suspected spinal injury Sudden poisoning Burns and scalds Eye injuries Anaphylactic shock and use of auto-injectors (Epipen) Recognise the presence of major illness and provide appropriate first aid including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma and diabetes Important Information Upon successful completion of this three day course, first aiders receive a certificate to allow them to practise for three years after which a re-qualification course becomes necessary. It is strongly recommended by the HSE that you update your skills by taking an annual refresher.
Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment This qualification is aimed at learners who currently work, or want to work, in the construction industry. Successful completion of this one day course will enable learners to apply for the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Green Card* which allows access to construction sites in the UK as a non-skilled worker.

To maintain their certification, holders must refresh their skills and knowledge every five years throuhg the SMSTS Refresher.
This one day course is designed to ensure that all employees are aware of their own safety and the safety of customers, contractors and the public. Anyone in a work environment will need this qualification.
This new qualification is designed to help improve the workplace culture for occupational health and safety by enabling learners to understand the basic principles of risk assessment.
