Education and Training Award

This course s ideal for people wishing to enter teaching or for those working in other environments such as Work Based Learning or the Voluntary Sector. The qualification is on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

Award in Education and Training (formerly known as Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong learning Sector – PTLLS)

This is the most basic qualification which you need to hold in order to teach adults, and is designed for those individuals whose core business may not be teaching and assessing students full time, but who may hold responsibility for delivering training / teaching to adults. During the course, you will participate in a range of interactive activities and tasks, including a micro-teach session, during which you will be given the opportunity to teach a short session in a subject of your choice.

Diploma in Education and Training qualification (DET)
Audience aimed at: Corporate training only
