Non-Licensed Asbestos Removal For those carrying out non-notifiable asbestos works or closely working with or near asbestos. B1) Initial training with no previous asbestos awareness training undertaken – The expected duration for this training will be 1 ½ days or a minimum of 9 hours tutor/learning time, this training must include the asbestos awareness element as laid down in UKATA document A0022 B2) Initial training with previous UKATA certificated asbestos awareness training (within 6 months) – Verification of the asbestos awareness training must be undertaken by the training provider and must be no more than six months from the date of the asbestos awareness training, should the asbestos awareness training fall outside of this then B1 training will be required.
Asbestos Awareness This course is generally desgiined for those who have he potential to come into contact with asbestos or work near it and are required to have a basic understanding and knowledge of asbetsos. All courses are customised to the role that you require training on and is particuallrt relevant to; Electricains Plumbers Gas Fitter Heating and Ventilation engineers Telecommunication engineers and construction workers plus many more occupations listed in Asbestos (ACoP) L143, who have the potential to come into contact with asbestos.
This course is designed for those who have the potential to come into contact with asbestos or work near it and require basic knowledge and understanding of asbestos. All courses are customised to the role that you require training on and is particularly relevant to electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, heating and ventilation engineers, telecommunications engineers and construction workers.
Category B training is for those people who will be knowingly carrying out work which is NOT defined as “licensable work with asbestos” by Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. The course covers both theoretical and practical elements for working with asbestos.
