DESCRIPTION This course is designed for site managers, agents and persons who are or will be responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff and workforce. The course covers all relevant legislation and other aspects that affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries.
This one day Emergency First Aid Course is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments. DURATION 1 day AIMS By the end of the course all delegates will have an awareness of: • Health and safety (first aid) regulations • Managing a emergency first aid incident • The priorities of first aid • Treatment of an unconscious casualty • Resuscitation techniques • How to treat a shock victim • How to handle a choking incident • Dealing with seizures • How to handle bleeding • The different types of common workplace injuries CERTIFICATION Following continuous assessment by the trainer, successful candidates receive a certificate valid for three years.
This CITB Health and Safety Awareness course is aimed at construction or civil engineering industry professionals to increase awareness of potential hazards on and off site. It is an ideal introduction into basic health and safety responsibilities at work and from 1st July 2014 is a minimum requirement for the Green CSCS Card.
