This part time course is suitable for students interested in children's books, magazine illustration, comics, political and street art, cartooning, and any other area where artwork communicates ideas or stories to an audience. The emphasis of the projects is on a free and innovative approach to realistic briefs using a diverse range of media and music, poems, animation and the like as stimuli.
This course teaches the skills of hard line measured drawing combined with lighting, rendering, material, finishes and furniture as well as the presentation of mood and sample boards. The course covers how to survey, scale and draw plans, sections and elevations as well as axonometric drawings.
