In this course you will spend two thirds of the year in partner schools and other educational settings gaining rich and varied experiences designed to support meeting the standards for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Working with peers, tutors and school-based colleagues, you will develop your abilities to promote effective learning among 11-16 year olds.
Through this course you can study for 3-7 age phase or 7-11 age phase. Depending on the age range you choose, you will be trained to teach all National Curriculum subjects.
As an Early Years Teacher you will be a specialist in early childhood development and will have Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) reflecting the specialist role that you have in working with babies and children from birth to five years old. You will have a passion for educating and caring for babies and children and will want to achieve the highest possible standards in your professional practice.
