After making and selling crystal and silver jewellery for 5 years and two years training in silversmithing, I started teaching wire & bead jewellery making techniques in May 2010 to a small group of interested people at my home. I currently run a drop-in evening class and Saturday workshops.
To give students an enjoyable and creative me-time, I keep classes small (max. 6 students) for lots of one-to-one tuition, interesting by providing students with a wide choice of an ever developing variety of projects and relaxed with chat and good humour.
My mission in every class is to create a haven, away from the pressures of everyday life, where students can learn new skills, get totally absorbed in creative challenges and socialise and make new friends.

Learn two different ways of setting undrilled stones or cabochons. The twisted wire frame setting is a simple, quick way to set stones.
You will be learning wire twisting techniques to make a beautiful gemstone and crystal bonsai tree (see photo gallery). This can be anchored in a pretty little pot or mounted on a natural rock.
Here is something different! Learn how to make an intriguing plaited leather strap where the ends are in tact and only the middle is braided. This can make a bracelet when poppers are added, and if wanted it can be decorated with beads as well.
