AAT Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is widely recognised as the Gold Standard for accounting technician training. It is valued across the whole of the accounting profession – and is a qualification requirement of many employers.
This course will extend your training to a much wider range of knowledge and skills and can either lead to qualification and membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians or provide a springboard to subsequent professional qualifications of ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA, or the ATT, tax technician qualification) It covers Financial Statements, Budgeting, Financial Performance, Internal Controls and Accounting Systems and 2 optional papers out of Personal Taxation, Business Taxation, External Auditing, Credit Control and Debt Management Often, students plan to only complete levels 2 and 3, but by the time they complete the latter, their confidence has grown (along with their knowledge and skills) and they think “Only one more level and I can become a fully qualified AAT member” and go for it! As the exams are now computer based and on demand, it provides a very flexible and achievable way of gradually completing each exam, one by one. Our programme combines a mix of: Comprehensive study manuals including study text and lots of question practice.
This course will take you up-to preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships, dealing with incomplete records as well as development your costing skills – stock valuation, marginal & absorption costing, simple budgets and variance analysis. It includes useful spreadsheet skills and covers cash management, preparing cash flow forecasts.
