3rg deliver a portfolio of nationally accredited security training courses designed to meet the needs of personnel looking to gain employment in the private security industry. 3rg’s portfolio of security courses has been specifically created from our experience in the commercial security sector to ensure course attendees receive up to date and industry relevant training, designed to give them the necessary skills for future employment.
3rg are approved training providers to Edexcel, City & Guilds and the Health and Safety Executive. We also hold ELCAS status and are a preferred supplier to the Ministry of Defence Career Transition Partnership.
All 3rg trainers are vastly experienced in their respective fields and maintain their current operational experience in order to able to demonstrate to course students the very latest industry standards and operating procedures.

Level 3 HABC First Aid Response 4 Day comprehensive course, 50% classroom based + 50% Practical. At 3rg, we are one of the few companies who employ our own qualified paramedic to teach the First Aid Response course, (meet our instructor) which ensures continuity in all our medical training.
The First Person On Scene intermediate (FPOS-i) is currently the preferred course for the security industry and is the only recognised qualification for both the Close Protection and Maritime Security sectors. The course is also one of the named acceptable courses when applying for the SIA licence in Close Protection.
Level 3 City & Guilds Close Protection Operative Qualification Level 3 Pearsons Professional Investigator Qualification 3rg Certification in Hostile Environment (HECPO) As testament from students who have attended training with us, our unique strength is in the background and expertise of our instruction team. 3rg chief instructors are all ex UKSF (SBS) personnel with vast experience of conducting Close Protection tasking from both a military and commercial context.
With new legislation taking place in 2016 – Pearsons has created the Level 3 Award for Professional Investigators (38 GLH) which is based on the SIA specifications for core competency training for Private Investigators covering the necessary understanding and skills required by individual operators. We have combined the 3rg Covert Surveillance course with the Pearsons Professional Investigators course, to give students a Level 3 qualification with advanced teaching in surveillance techniques.
The Hostile Environment Close Protection Operators (HECPO) module is an integral part of training during 3rg’s full Close Protection course. This part of training can however be taken as a stand-alone module for those students who have already completed previous Close Protection training, where detailed instruction relating to the role in hostile environments has not been sufficiently covered.
The New City & Guilds 8269 MSO Course (Maritime Security Operative) has been developed to meet the needs of the ISO and is the only course that has direct mapping against this Maritime Security Standard. MSO 8269 qualification has been mapped against the Personnel in Designated Security Duties (PDSD) as required by the STCW Convention (as amended in Manila 2010) Regulation VI/6.
