This course is ideal if you are working as a fabricator or welder and wish to improve your skills and knowledge. Level 3 will build on existing knowledge and develop advanced skills in machining, electrical and welding.
This extended diploma qualification is a Level 3 National Vocational Qualification (NVQ). It involves the skills and knowledge needed for fabricating and welding including the, ability to organise work, identify and prevent problems and develop skills and potential within the fabricating and welding engineering field.
This is a vocational related qualification at Level 3 and has been developed in consultation with local and national industry. The qualification will give a nationally recognised qualification containing relevant theory and the practical skills needed by the fabrication and welding industry.
In this you will study a number of different units including complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements, using and interpreting engineering drawings and documents and work efficiently and effectively in engineering. You then have a choice of many different practical units but this will depend on the facilities at work.
In this course, candidates will learn how to use manual metals to weld. The trainer will give candidates an insight in how to apply gas welding processes.
