Course Objectives Attendees of this course will gain a detailed understanding of the techniques and procedures of using Hand, Hydraulic Torque and Tension techniques. Course Description This course concentrates on the skilled performance expected of persons trained to dismantle, inspect, prepare, assemble and tighten flanged and clamp connector pipe joints using hand, hydraulic torque and tensioning equipment.
What you will learn: What flow assurance is and how it relates with other disciplines Identify the stages and inputs of a flow assurance study/design Understand the software tools used to aid flow assurance design and decisions (steady state, transient state and fluid modelling software) Fundamentals and principles of thermal and hydraulic design (selecting line size, insulation selection) and design constraints Case studies of how flow assurance expertise was used to solve engineering and production problems Define operating envelopes and philosophies for oil and gas production Operating an Asset with a risk-management approach: We have understood the paradigm shift from flow assurance issues avoidance to flow assurance risk management. In other words, the operator will have a wider operating envelope and with a better understanding of flow assurance risks (hydrate, wax, asphaltenes etc.
