- A fantastic introduction to Hairdressing
- Hairdressing NVQ Level 1
- Macclesfield College
- Anon, August 2007
- Overall rating
- Course content *****
- This course is ideal as either a refresher or introduction to basic hairdressing. A passion, dedication, positive attitude and commitment are essential as the course moves quickly and there are required assignments and tasks to complete throughout. The course tutors are inspirational and offer support at all times and all staff in the Hairdressing department are always on hand to give valuable advice, support and encouragement. The standard of teaching is high which is reflected in the positive results from my course colleagues. We are encouraged to work together and support each other as a working team and, as the salon is fully operational, can develop and gain experience in a true salon environment. There is the opportunity to progress to Level 2 in Hairdressing and/or Barbering. I completed the course and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
- Student facilities ****
- The college was undergoing a complete rebuild thus, the environment was, on occasions, awkward however, a brand new state of the art complex will be open in September 2007. Despite this, access to IT facilities was excellent and the college managed to operate successfully around the new build.
- Social life *****
- A pleasure to be part of my group, the average age was 17/18 with 2 mature students and one man. The group was small and worked perfectly together; a perfect team. I meet up with some of the students regularly and count them amongst my good friends.
