- I started learning psychology at JLC as a complete beginner and the course and the teaching was brilliant! They taught the curriculum in a really interesting way, the subject material was really interesting and easy to engage with and the teachers were so supportive, they gave you all the help you needed and taught you exactly how you needed to answer the questions to get good grades.
- Student facilities *****
- The teaching facilities were also brilliant! The building was quite new and it was a really clean and fresh environment to learn in, as well as having loads of It facitilies to help you with your course.
- Social life ****
- The other students at JLC were also brilliant! I moved to the area just before i went to JLC and i didnt know anyone. But they made me feel welcome and i made loads of really good friends, as well as finding people i could work really well in a group with, which helped me do well in my coursework. Most of the people in my group in psychology i am still friends with now and we socialise a lot outside of college as well.

- Supurb! What i did was very relevent to what i want to do, I am now at the University of salford studying building surveying, because of the course I did. The pace of the course is very good and the teachers are extremley helpful. I came out of the college with grade Merit merit merit. The course is 100% coursework. The coursework is hard and you can choose a lot of options once you have this qualification.
- Student facilities *****
- The only problem with the college was that there were no windows anywhere in the building - so sometimes it did feell like a prison! However there were a lot of resources to0 help with your work. I used mainly books, but the computer facilities and other sources of information can help. There was a wide variety of books availiable to help with all the modules. If you do choose the course, the building construction handbook by roy chudley and roger greeno helps with about 80% of the coursework.
- Social life *****
- Although more females are choosing the construction industury. males still outnumber them significantly, This was the same on my course. We used to always go to the pub at dinner when in college and we did have a laugh. About 23 people started the course but only 11 finished it, However i say they were the ones that missed out! (three of the eleven who actually finished were actually females!) The construction industury is the Uk's biggest industury and has a lot to offer, and this course is a great place to start. I met some great people and had a good rewarding and fullfilling 2 years.

- A very down to earth course. Teachers are well prepared and try to make things as practical as possible. Lots of field trips. Curriculm is interesting: surverying, construction, health and safety, management in civil engineering.
- Student facilities ****
- Good facilities. Laboratories, equipment and software. Library is well stocked. Technician is available to help with the projects.
- Social life ****
- Very nice people. Avarage age 20+. Quite a few people on the course already work in construction so you can learn a lot! Nice places to socialise around the college. We often work in groups so nice for learning team skills.
