Child Minding Course Our child care courses include the CACHE Level 3 Child Minding course, which will give you an understanding of how to set up a Home-Based Childcare Service (CYPOP5) unit, and will prepare you to work as a home-based child carer, nanny or child minder. It is also ideal for those child minders who are looking to set up their own business as it covers business start-up.
This course will help you gain an understanding of the statutory and non-statutory requirements which need to be in place prior to registration with the regulatory body Ofsted. This will enhance your career prospects and can lead to further training opportunities.
The demand for childcare has never been higher, with more parents returning to work and working longer hours. And, since the introduction of the 2002 ECM initiative, there has been a public outcry for childcare professionals with recognised accreditation and training.
This course is ideal for anyone wanting to look after children from their own home. The course will teach you about four main policies regarding being a registered childminder with OFSTED, how to set up your childcare practice, the legislations surrounding childminding, where to find support and information when being a registered childminder, and how to build good relations when dealing with parents and children when working as a childminder.
This distance learning course will provide you with all the underpinning knowledge to make a decision as to whether a career as a child minder is the right one for you.
What does the qualification cover? The CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators.
